Well it is official, I've decided that my baby has ADHD. He waits until I just about to fall asleep and then decides to start acrobatics in the womb...We finally heard the heartbeat on our little doppler thing that my Aunt Tammy gave me. Victor got to feel the baby kick also. This week has been a pretty good week. I have been having lots of nightmares (not involving the baby) so an actual sleeping pattern is a little off.
But now, for update on my doctor stuff. I saw Dr. Holly Dickson today instead of Dr. Gramann. Dr. Gramann mentioned they like their patients to see the other doc once (I am thinking just incase she is on call when I go into labor) so we know both OBGYN. I've been to her before (when I had to start all my girlie stuff thinking I would like a woman doctor more) and like her as a person just not as my doctor...She (well and my body) is the main reason I was so screwed up for about a year because of the different types of birth controls she tried with me....
Anyways, here we go!! I still don't like her as a doctor. I was only in her room for a whole 10 minutes and 5 was waiting and she spent about 5 minutes with me...The baby's heartbeat was 140. She gave me the orange juice for the glucose test (next month) AND THAT WAS IT! I had to say, I have a few questions....Oh, and I did not do as well as last month in the weight department. YUCK!
Cravings: Still sweets, which is why I did NOT buy any during my weekly grocery shopping trip, nor did I buy any more ice cream. You need a lot to make a milkshake but you don't realize HOW MUCH you are really getting :)!
Aversions: I had a funny night last night. I had been craving this Mexican Meat (that is what I call it) and you have to buy it specially in Tacoma. Victor made a special trip to buy it. Then you eat it with beans, tortillas, sour cream, avacadoes, and pico de gallo (tomatoes, onions, cilantro, salt and lime juice). I REALLY really wanted it but by the second mini taco (corn tortillas are small) I thought, I'd better be done I don't feel so well. Also, Candice took me to this little sub shop called Jersey Mikes, in Bonney Lake, GREAT FOOD! They cut the meat fresh and in front of you but they had all the meat in a window that you could see all the meat sitting there and THAT made me a little ill.....
T.M.C: Your baby now looks like a miniature newborn, checking in at 10.9 inches and almost 1 pound. His skin will continue to appear wrinkled until he gains enough weight to fill it out, and the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his head and body is now visible. His lips are becoming more distinct, and the first signs of teeth are appearing as buds beneath his gum line. His eyes are developed, though the iris (the colored part of the eye) still lacks pigment. Eyelids and eyebrows are in place, and his pancreas, essential for hormone production, is developing steadily.
