Well, we told a few family members over the holidays. First, my grandma was told on 12/23 she got goosebumps and cried for about 5 minutes. Then yelled at me because I told her not to tell anyone yet for a few more weeks. Then Christmas Eve I told my mom, again more crying :). Then Christmas Day we told his parents and Cathy and my dad. Cathy and my mother-in-law did a LOT of yelling (all excited but loud). Currently we have told (maybe more but this is who I can remember and it is in sort of a the accurate list): Kelle, Candice, Luis (my brother in law), Victor's boss and wife, Victor's complete crew at work, Kim, Janelle, Carol Hanni, Mandy Jolley (Carol helped with that one :)!) Sondra, my grandma, all of our parents, and then grandma slipped and told Aunt Toni....Oh and my friend Mandi at the doctor's office knew but she is sneaky and checked us in, then at the end said "congratulations!" I can't think of anyone else we have told but we might have told more. All the people that we have told are close enough to us that if something was to happen it would be okay that they knew. I am hoping the doctor says everything looks fantastic after our January 5th Appt. Then maybe we will tell more!!!
Oh, my siblings also know now too :)
Cravings: Orange Pop sounded great all week!
Aversions: Now that we have told the family I can not wait to tell my Brother-in-law that I do not like Crab! After spending two family dinners with the guy I have concluded he wants me dead. For his wife's birthday and then for Christmas Eve he has been so excited to share the gross food with me. On Christmas Eve I only pretended that I ate crab. Each time someone finished a leg I stole the empty shell and put it on my plate, I think this fooled him?!?
Symptoms: No longer just nausea. This last week and even yesterday and today have proven to be the worst days so far! Instead of just feeling nauseated I am actually spewing everthing out. It is funny because most of the time this happens at night. One night dried apricots sounded so good so I bought some at the store. While watching TV I ate about half the little container, more then I should have. This started off a horrible night by the end I had thrown up 5 different times, pretty sure nothing was left in my stomach! This morning was the first time EVER I've actually thrown up in the morning. I am thinking it was the TUMS. We ordered pizza last night for dinner. I love cold pizza for breakfast the next morning and so that is what I ate today. I started to feel like I was getting heartburn and the doctor gave me a couple packets of Tums. I've never in my life taken tums but I was surprised they tasted good. But now that I have just thrown everthing up I am not sure I like them afterall. I guess I will have to given them another chance sometime...
Baby Colin: Your baby is now 5/8 of an inch long, about the size of a kidney bean. She's constantly moving and shifting, although you won't be able to feel these womb wiggles for several weeks yet. Her embryonic tail is disappearing, and her eyelids practically cover her eyes. Still slightly webbed, her fingers and toes are growing longer. Her arms have lengthened, too, and her hands are now flexed at the wrist. Her knee and elbow joints have formed so she can now bend both, and her feet may be long enough to meet in front of her body. With her trunk straightening out, her head is more erect. Breathing tubes extend from her throat to the branches of her developing lungs. The nerve cells in her brain are also branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. Though you may be daydreaming about your baby as one gender or another, the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl.
