{9 Weeks!}

I have a doctor's appoinment in a few days and am so excited. The doctor's office called me today and scared the death out of me! Side Note: I have had the same insurance company since I have worked at the dental office in 2002! Fast Forward to today: "Hi, this is Enumclaw Medical Center, just calling to let you know we contacted your insurance company to get your medical benefits and we thought you'd like to know that your OB appointments will NOT be covered during your pregnancy." PAUSE------I couldn't think, "ummm. Are you sure??? I need to call them then because there is no way I am paying $350 a month for nothing!!!" I hang up call the insurance company to find out that the doctor's office was WRONG! SOOOOO I call the doctor's office again and after we determine that I do have very good (but expensive personal insurance---we don't have the luxury of insurance through either of our jobs :(. After the whole phone call the lady has the nerve to say, so at your appt on Friday we will write you a reciept for 672.00? Wait, what?! That amount is my 20% portion after insurance pays. BUT that is also for the whole 9 months, so I ask we need to have the bill pre-paid. "Well, no but we like to stay on top of our bills and not let the patients get too deep into the bill..." I said I would make payments throughout the WHOLE 9 months but was not planning on paying the full bill this Friday. Boy, I should call my dad and ask him where that tree in the backyard is...You know, the one that grows money on it?! My dad always told me he had one :)!

Cravings: Subway sandwich sounded good but had one this morning and not all great :)!!

Aversions: I can't think of anything that I made me sick???

Symptoms: So sleepy and just the normal morning sickness. Last week when I reported that the pizza and tums made me sick WELL it was actually the flu and I had the flu for 3.5 days! I was so sick, it was horrible!

Baby Colin: Your baby is nearly an inch long - barely the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce, but he's poised for rapid weight gain now that his basic physical structure is in place. He's also starting to look more and more human. His embryonic tail is now completely gone, and his development of his body parts — including organs, muscles, and nerves — is kicking into gear.

His eyelids completely cover his eyes now and are fused shut. They won't open until 27 weeks. He has earlobes, and by week's end, the inner workings of his ears will be complete. His upper lip is fully formed, too, and his mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The tips of his fingers are slightly enlarged where his touch pads are developing. Your baby is now able to move all his limbs. As for his heart, it's divided into four chambers now, and the valves have started to develop. Your baby's external sex organs are present now but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks.
