I had a doctor's appt this week and will every Tuesday for the next few weeks but will be giving details about it on the other blog . This week went by pretty fast. Between appointments and a fast vacation it all flew by. I have been having signs of toxemia or pre-eclampsia but haven't gotten the full blown thing yet. My feet have been swollen Monday night they swelled even more, I knew something was wrong by the way I was feeling and reacted accordingly. My feet were super painful with red blotchy spots on it. I called Cathy and she suggested measuring my feet and taking my blood pressure. I did both and the numbers were gross. I continued to take my blood pressure every 30 minutes for 3 times. Cathy told me my machine might be off so I went to the Fred Meyers machine and mine was only higher by 5 points but that was also 30 minutes before that. I grabbed new pajamas and a few things that I needed and right before I left I checked again, because my feet were starting feel normal again. My blood pressure had lowered and was normal again, WHEW! I did tell Dr. Gramann all about it the next day and he gave me some things to watch for.

Cravings: This week I had a somewhat weird craving. I have never really liked hotdogs. I think I might have ate them as a child but that was because hamburgers were even worse for me. This week hot dogs have sounded good. Before camping I really wanted one and so while shopping I picked up a "lunchables hot dog meal" I was not about to buy a whole pack of hot dogs, especially if I didn't like them. One night Victor had cobasa (I am sure I just spelt that completely wrong) and I had a hot dog. Um, yeah, still don't like them. But then we go camping and the little kids are eatting cheese filled hot dogs all cut up from loving mothers. They look good. So I get one, and take one bite and wait until no one is looking and throw the rest away. The next day they still sound good (even though I know I will NOT like them) and while eating baked beans and smoked weinies I had a little one. IT was okay but it was only one bite and I was good then. BUT MAN! WEIRD CRAVING!

Aversions: Yeah, read above. I craved hot dogs but then didn't like them each time I tried it.

T.M.C: Your baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that he's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 pounds plus. Because it's so snug in your womb, he isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times he kicks should remain about the same. His kidneys are fully developed now, and his liver can process some waste products. Most of his basic physical development is now complete — he'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
