{38 Weeks!}

The weeks are starting to go by slower and slower. On Tuesday I had a second baby shower with the women from church. I have to say I was pretty adament about not wanting more then one shower BUT I loved this second shower. It was small and intimate and it gave me the opportunity to talk to women from church I haven't gotten to talk to in a long while and some women I'd never talked to but now I will!

My feet are still swollen, I love how people call and ask me if they've gone down or if I've gone into labor yet. Doctor Gramann has made it clear to me that they will not go down until I have the baby. I even had a cousin tell me if I get an epidural they'll stay swollen--oh joy! I have an aunt who called nearly every day for a week asking if I was still pregnant, she's stopped only because she's on vacation right now :). I also have people FREAKING out if I don't return a phone call immediately, because IT MIGHT BE NOW!?!? I will make sure to call as many people as possible and if I don't call Victor will :)!

Cravings: I was initially going to put nothing but then I realized this whole week I've wanted ice cubes? Not really a craving but then again, maybe...I don't like ice cubs from a tray and we don't have an ice machine so I have been using a half used bag of ice cubes we bought for camping but didn't use....Normally, I don't like ice cubes and don't need them as long as a drink is cold but this week I've been drinking and then chomping on the ice cubes later...

Aversions: Nothing that I can think of.

T.M.C: Your baby has really plumped up. He weighs between 6 and 7 1/2 pounds (boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls), and he's nearly 20 inches long. He has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time! His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If he's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If he's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time he's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after he's born, but they won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)
