{30 Weeks and Dr. Appt!)

I am officially three-fourths the way finished! I feel much slower these days. I can't get enough sleep and yet my neighbor asked me if I was high on something becuase I couldn't sit still, ha! I saw Dr. Gramann last week and again he told me how perfect and beautiful I was. I was mentioning this to someone (I really can't remember-I thought ladies were crazy when they said, "Oh, I'm pregnant, I can't remember"!! BUT IT IS SOOO TRUE-anyways back to my story...) I was mentioning to someone that he tells me I am the perfect size and beautiful all the time. They joked how much am I paying him....well, whatever the insurance pays him ;)! and not a penny more :)! Dr. Gramann gave me an ultrasound and said that he is the right position. My Grandma and Candice both kidded with me after he left. Candice said, "did you notice the size of that kid's head?" and Grandma said, "Did you see all that hair?" Both of which I said, "really? OOOO" and they both said they'd been kidding. I did gain more weight then I had thought so I decided it was time to stop drinking pop again, too much sugar :)! Dr. Gramann also said that I had been retaining water, already! UGH!

I have spent the majority of my free time painting. I despised hating before painting the baby room and yes I still hate it but for some odd reason it is okay to do it for the baby. Today, as I was sweaty and sore I couldn't really find an actual reason why we think we need to paint and decorate a baby room, because he DOESN'T care the least bit, but yet, we suckers do it!

Cravings: Watermelon and strawberries and cucumbers...

Aversions: Thousand Island and ketchup, two of my FAVES, not because they make me sick but because they give me heart burn!

T.M.C: Your baby's a bit more than 15 1/2 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and fills out your uterus. His eyes open and close, he's able to distinguish between light and dark, and he can even follow a light source back and forth. Once he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have a visual acuity of only 20/400 — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. ("Normal" vision in adults is 20/20.)
